BRIDGE SEAT CAFÉ

Problem

Design a theme restaurant that means something to you.

Solution

Tree houses are not just for kids anymore! I wanted to modernize a classic wooded bridge that is often used as a walking path in large tree houses and design it into a modern eating area. My main objective was to have one continuous piece that could be used as a table and chairs and on a larger scale turned into a Tree House theme
restaurant.

OFF-ROADING -
FENDER FIREPLACE

Problem
Create a piece of furniture from part of a Chevy Monster Truck

Solution
Using the left wheel well, I created a faux fireplace. This project was an amazing
experience; it took 3 weeks and was all about details. During this project, the phrase ‘measure twice, cut once’  really went a long way. With budgets and limited supplies, you need to make sure everything is perfect. For the exhibition I even made my own knickknacks for the mantel, which included a clock made from a cylinder, bookends and a picture holder made from the pistons.

** Was on display at SVA main gallery and Exhibition was featured in the Daily News

ART & MUSIC FOR CHARITY

Problem

Famous Artists and Musicians always donate their time and money to charities and social causes. For inspiration, we were given a basic Fender guitar as a starting point and asked to illustrate a
charity or
social cause.

Solution

My love of construction and experience working with Habitat for Humanity made my choice simple.I decided not to use an actual guitar as a starting point but work backwards, starting with a blue print build
the guitar in the same way you would build a house. I constructed the piece using a 2” x 4”, nails and metal supports. Now all this Fender needs is a little insulation and sheetrock and it is good to go!
